Terms of Use

This document outlines the terms of use ("Agreement") between you (the user) and Nenane Investments LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Washington at the mailing address 420 85th PL SW, Everett 98204 doing business as (DBA) happy2meet and referred to here as “happy2meet”. By accessing the website hosted at www.happy2meet.com ("the Site") and utilizing any of its features or services ("the Services"), you acknowledge and agree to be legally bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not accept these terms, please refrain from using the Site or the Services.

happy2meet offers a variety of services, including but not limited to: a connection service for individuals seeking companionship ("Matchmaking Service"), relationship-based resources and community interaction such as advice features ("Relationship Services"), and any additional premium or specialized offerings ("Premium Services"). All these are collectively referred to as "Services." This Agreement covers any current or future services happy2meet provides and may be updated at the company’s discretion. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted indicates your acceptance of those changes.

1. User Eligibility

a) Minimum Age Requirement:
Users must be at least 18 years old to access or register for the Services. By using the Matchmaking Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
b) Marital Status:
To register for or participate in the Matchmaking Service, you must not be of legally married or separated status. Exception is provided for when one is seeking an activity pal where even legally married and separated persons can participate. Legally married and separated individuals may be matched only for the “activity pals” category of matching.
c) Criminal Background:
You affirm that you have never been convicted of a felony and are not registered as a sex offender. While background checks are not conducted by default, happy2meet reserves the right to perform those using public records, and your use of the service grants permission to do so if needed.
d) Profile Completion:
While a completed compatibility profile is necessary for best match results, partial submissions may still yield preliminary matches. These will not be confirmed for compatibility until the full profile is completed.

2. Site and Service Usage Guidelines

As one using this service, either as a visitor or ("Registered User"), you agree to the following:

a) Exclusive Use.
Your account is for your personal use only. You may not authorize others to use your account, and you may not assign or otherwise transfer your account to any other person or entity.
b) Information Submitted.
You are solely responsible for, and assume all liability regarding, (i) the information and content you contribute to the Service; (ii) the information and content you post, transmit, publish, or otherwise make available (hereinafter "post") through the Services; and (iii) your interactions with other Registered Users through the Services. In addition to sharing your information with your matches, we may allow your matches to share your profile information with members of their social network(s).
c) Risk Assumption and Precautions.
You assume all risk when using the Services, including but not limited to all of the risks associated with any online or offline interactions with others, including dating. You agree to take all necessary precautions when meeting individuals through the Matchmaking Service. In addition, you agree to review and follow the recommendations set forth in happy2meet’s Safety Tips, which will be provided to you prior to entering the "happy2meet video meet" phase with your matches in the Matchmaking Service and is available on the blog page of the site with the heading: “10 Safety Tips for Matched Couples”.
d) No Guarantees.
happy2meet may not be able to provide matches for everyone seeking to use its services and will match users on the basis of availability and consent of compatible matches. Further, happy2meet makes no guarantees as to the number or frequency of matches through the Matchmaking Service, or to such matches’ ability, desire or criteria to communicate with any user. You understand that happy2meet makes no guarantees, either express or implied, regarding your ultimate compatibility with individuals you meet through the Matchmaking Service or as to the conduct of such individuals.
e) Reporting of Violations.
You will promptly report to happy2meet any violation of the Agreement by others, including but not limited to, Registered Users.
f) Content Removal.
happy2meet reserves the right, but has no obligation, to monitor the information or material you submit to the Services or post in the public areas of the Services. happy2meet will have the right to remove any such information or material that in its sole opinion violates, or may violate, any applicable law or either the letter or spirit of this Agreement or upon the request of any third party. happy2meet further reserves the right to remove matches previously delivered to you, in its reasonable discretion, in order to assure that you have a quality experience on the Site.
g) No False Information.
You will not provide inaccurate, misleading or false information to happy2meet or to any other user. If information provided to happy2meet or another user subsequently becomes inaccurate, misleading or false, you will promptly notify happy2meet of such change.
h) No Advertising or Commercial Solicitation.
You will not advertise or solicit any user to buy or sell any products or services through the Site or Services. You may not transmit any chain letters, junk or spam e-mail to other users. Further, you will not use any information obtained from the Services in order to contact, advertise to, solicit, or sell to any user without their prior explicit consent. If you breach the terms of this subsection and send or post unsolicited bulk email, "spam" or other unsolicited communications of any kind through the Services, you acknowledge that you will have caused substantial harm to happy2meet, but that the amount of such harm would be extremely difficult to ascertain. As a reasonable estimation of such harm, you agree to pay happy2meet $100 for each such unsolicited communication you send through the Services.
i) Unique and Bona Fide Profile.
As a Registered User of the Matchmaking Service, you will create only one unique profile. In addition, your use of the Matchmaking Service must be for bona fide relationship-seeking purposes in order to maintain the integrity of the Matchmaking Service (for example, you may not become a Registered User solely to compile a report of compatible singles in your area, or to write a school research paper). Not all registered users are available for matching. From time to time, happy2meet may create test profiles in order to monitor the operation of the Services.
j) Selection of Profiles.
From time to time, your profile may be selected to introduce you to specific compatible matches, in which case we may offer you a limited complimentary subscription (if you are not already a subscriber) in order to enable you to meet such specific match. You will be under no obligation to accept such complimentary subscription or to meet with or communicate with the match(es) we may introduce to you.
k) Territorial Scope:
The Services are intended primarily for users based in the United States. . By using the Services, you represent that you have not been designated by the United States government as a "Specially Designated National" or a person to whom the provisions of the Services are prohibited. Registration for, and use of, the Services are void where prohibited. Users inside and outside the U.S. must ensure that their use of the services is lawful in their local jurisdiction.
l) Posting and Communication Restrictions.
You will not post on the Services, transmit to other users, communicate any content (or links thereto), or otherwise engage in any activity on the Site or through the Services, that:
- i. encourages any form of racism, bigotry, hatred or physical harm to a person or group of persons;
- ii. aims to harass, threaten or intimidate;
- iii. is defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, obscene, profane, offensive or sexually oriented;
- iv. contains others’ copyrighted content (e.g., music, movies, videos, photographs, images, software, etc.) without obtaining permission first;
- v. contains video, audio photographs, or images of another person without his or her permission;
- vi. promotes or enables illegal or unlawful activities, such as instructions on how to make or buy illegal weapons or drugs, violate someone’s privacy, harm or harass another person, obtain others’ identity information, create or disseminate computer viruses, or circumvent copy-protect devices;
- vii. intended to defraud, swindle or deceive other users of the Services;
- viii. contains viruses, time bombs, trojan horses, cancelbots, worms or other harmful, or disruptive codes, components or devices;
- ix. promotes or solicits involvement in or support of a political platform, religion, cult, or sect;
- x. disseminates another person’s personal information without his or her permission, or collects or solicits another person’s personal information for commercial or unlawful purposes;
- xi. is off-topic, meaningless, or otherwise intended to annoy or interfere with others’ enjoyment of the Site;
- xii. impersonates, or otherwise misrepresents affiliation, connection or association with, any person or entity;
- xiii. solicits gambling or engages in any gambling or similar activity;
- xiv. uses scripts, bots or other automated technology to access the Site or Services;
- xv. uses the Site or Services for chain letter, junk mail or spam e-mails;
- xvi. is in any way used for spamming, phishing, trolling, or similar activities.
In addition to the above, postings on the Content Services currently known as happy2meet Advice ("Advice") will follow the Advice Community Standards , in addition to the terms of this Agreement.
m) Accuracy of Information:
You agree to provide truthful and current information. Any changes to your personal data that affect its accuracy must be promptly updated.
n) No Commercial Use:
The Services may not be used for advertising, solicitation, or commercial messaging without explicit written consent.
o) Authentic Intent:
The Matchmaking Service must be used with genuine intent to form connections, not for academic research, data collection, or other indirect purposes.
p) Respect toward Staff:
You agree not to intimidate or harass employees or agents of happy2meet involved in delivering services.

3. Intellectual Property

a) Ownership of Platform Assets:
You acknowledge that happy2meet owns valuable and proprietary assets, which include, but are not limited to, its matching algorithms, compatibility assessments, and relationship evaluation tools ("Proprietary Materials"). All intellectual property rights in the Site and Services—including those in Proprietary Materials—are fully owned and retained by happy2meet.
b) Restrictions on Use:
You may not reproduce, distribute, adapt, share, display, or commercially exploit any of the Proprietary Materials or copyrighted/trademarked content you access through the Site or Services without express written permission from the rightful owner.
c) Respect for Others' Content:
Content shared by other users, including copyrighted material—even if not explicitly labeled—remains protected. You agree not to duplicate, alter, distribute, or exploit such material without permission.

4. User Information and Privacy

a) Privacy Policy:
Our collection and use of user information is governed by our Privacy Statement, available on the Site. By using the Site or Services, you agree to the practices described in that document.
b) Limiting Personal Contact Info: You agree not to publicly share your email, personal website, or other contact details on your Matchmaking Service profile or in initial communications. Once you enter the secure video phase, you may choose to share contact details with your match.
c) Legal Disclosures:
happy2meet may release your information if required to comply with the law, in response to legal processes, or if necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of happy2meet or others.
d) Disclosure for Abuse Prevention:
If happy2meet suspects that any user information may relate to a potential abuse case—such as domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse, or neglect—it reserves the right (but not the obligation) to share such information with relevant authorities. You agree that this may be done at happy2meet's sole discretion.
e) Anonymized Research:
By using our platform, you consent to the anonymous use of your activity and profile data for research purposes aimed at improving services and understanding relationships. Published research will never include personal identifiers.

5. External Websites and Sponsors

happy2meet may display or link to third-party websites and content, including advertisers and sweepstakes sponsors. These external sites are not under our control, and happy2meet is not responsible for their content, services, or data handling. If you choose to engage with these third parties, you do so at your own risk, and any resulting interactions, purchases, or information exchanges are solely between you and them. Please refer to our Privacy Statement to learn how such interactions may involve your personal data.

6. Disclaimers and Service Limitations

a) General Disclaimer:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, happy2meet offers the Site and Services “as-is” and makes no guarantees of uninterrupted or error-free service. We expressly disclaim warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement.
b) User Content Disclaimer:
The Site may contain third-party opinions, statements, or recommendations. These are the responsibility of the respective authors, not happy2meet. You agree that happy2meet is not liable for any decisions made or actions taken based on user-contributed content.
c) Experimental Features:
We may occasionally provide early access to new tools or features on a test basis. These features are experimental, may be modified or removed without notice, and are provided with no warranties.

7. Limitation of Liability

a) Maximum Liability:
To the extent allowed by law, happy2meet shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages related to your use of the Services—including data loss, service disruptions, or substitute service costs. Our total liability in any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Services or, if you have not paid, $5 USD.
b) User Behavior:User Behavior:
happy2meet is not liable for damages caused by interactions between users. This includes, but is not limited to, fraud, misrepresentation, personal injury, or emotional distress stemming from online or offline meetings arranged via the platform..
c) Data Accuracy:
While efforts may be made to verify information submitted by users, happy2meet does not guarantee the accuracy of any user-generated data and is not responsible for errors therein.

8. Indemnity

You agree to protect, indemnify, and hold harmless happy2meet, its affiliates, directors, and employees from any losses, claims, liabilities, or expenses (including attorney fees) resulting from: • your use of the Site or Services,
• any content you submit or share,
• any breach of this Agreement,
• or any violation of applicable laws or third-party rights.
We reserve the right to manage our legal defense at our own cost, and you agree to assist us as needed.

9. Complaints / Law Enforcement Contact

10. Communication and Notifications

Your email address may be used to send you messages notifying you of important changes to the Services or special offers. Further, we may contact you by telephone if you voluntarily provide us with your telephone number, in order to communicate with you regarding the Services. If you do not want to receive such email messages or telephone calls (including at any wireless number you may have voluntarily provided us), please refer to our Privacy Statement to review your options.

11. Account Termination

This Agreement is effective as long as you use the Site or Services. Either party may terminate an account at any time, with or without cause. We may suspend or delete your account without prior notice if we believe a violation of this Agreement has occurred. No refunds will be issued for terminated accounts resulting from user misconduct.

12. Cancellation and Refund Policy

a) General Cancellation:
You may cancel your account at any time via the “unsubscribe” button in the footer section of every page.
b) Cancellation before an introduction:
If your match is identified, and you have paid for the service, but you did not get to be introduced and/or meet with them via the arranged video meeting section on the happy2meet platform or be introduced to them or any other match within a period of 4 months from the date of payment, you will be refunded the amount you paid, less the verification cost of $30.00.
c) After Introduction:
If your match is identified, and you have paid for the Matchmaking service, was introduced and/or met with them at least once via the arranged video meeting on the happy2meet platform, there will be no refund under any circumstances. You will, however, be eligible for introduction to other potential matches within a period of 4 (four) months from the date of payment.
d) Premium Subscribers:
Extended eligibility for rematch to 12 months.

13. Automatic Renewals

To ensure uninterrupted access to paid services, all subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period. Renewal terms are clearly presented at the time of subscription purchase, confirmed upon payment, and referenced in promotional materials. By agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge and accept this automatic renewal policy. If you do not wish to renew, please refer to the “Cancellation and Refund Policy above” section above for instructions on disabling auto-renewal.

14. Premium Services

Certain features or services may be offered under a premium tier. Use of these premium services is subject to additional terms and conditions that will be provided at the time of purchase or activation.

15. Arbitration and Class Action Waiver

a) Purpose of Arbitration:
To promote efficient dispute resolution, both you and happy2meet agree to resolve any legal disagreements through binding arbitration rather than traditional court proceedings. Arbitration is a private process involving a neutral arbitrator who issues a binding decision. This agreement means that, with limited exceptions, neither party will have the right to go to court or have a jury trial.
b) Scope of Agreement:
For this section, “happy2meet” refers to happy2meet, its affiliates, employees, and representatives. “Dispute” refers to any claim, disagreement, or controversy related to your use of the platform or your relationship with happy2meet, including the interpretation or enforceability of this Arbitration Agreement (except for the Class Action Waiver provision).
c) Agreement to Arbitrate:
You and happy2meet agree that any current or future Dispute will be resolved solely through individual binding arbitration, and not in court, except as provided below.
d) Pre-Arbitration Resolution:
Before initiating arbitration, you must first send a written notice to happy2meet at:

Include your full name, contact details, a description of the issue, and the resolution you seek. If the issue remains unresolved after 45 days, either party may proceed with arbitration.
e) Arbitration Process:
If arbitration becomes necessary, it will be administered by either the American Arbitration Association (AAA) or JAMS, using their applicable rules. The arbitration will be handled by a single arbitrator, and it must be conducted individually—not as part of a class or group.
In the event of a conflict between this section and the arbitrator’s rules, this agreement governs. The Federal Arbitration Act (FAA) will apply, and the arbitrator will follow applicable state and federal law.
f) Arbitrator’s Decision:
The arbitrator has the authority to award the same relief available in court, including attorney’s fees if permitted by law. Any decision rendered will be final and may be enforced in any competent court.
g) Arbitration Location:
You may choose to conduct arbitration in Everett, Washington, or in a local federal judicial district within Washington State.
h) Costs and Fees:
Both parties will share the arbitrator’s fees and filing costs upon written request before proceedings begin. Each party is responsible for their own legal expenses unless the arbitrator rules otherwise. If you follow the pre-arbitration steps and prevail, you may recover reasonable legal fees.
i) Class Action Waiver:
You and happy2meet agree not to bring or participate in any class, collective, representative, or private attorney general action, unless both parties provide written consent after arbitration is initiated. The arbitrator has no authority to allow such actions.
j) Waiver of Court Trial:
By accepting this agreement, you are knowingly giving up your right to a court trial, including the opportunity to present your case before a judge or jury.
k) Severability:
If any part of this arbitration section (except the Class Action Waiver) is found unenforceable, the remainder still applies. If the Class Action Waiver is unenforceable, this entire arbitration section will be void and disputes will be resolved in court.
l) Survival of Arbitration Clause:
This arbitration agreement will remain in effect even after your relationship with happy2meet ends.

16. General Terms

a) a) Right to Seek Injunction. :Violation of this Agreement may cause happy2meet irreparable harm, and therefore agree that happy2meet will be entitled to seek extraordinary relief in court, including but not limited to temporary restraining orders, preliminary injunctions and permanent injunctions without the necessity of posting a bond or other security, in addition to and without prejudice to any other rights or remedies that happy2meet may have for a breach of this Agreement.
b) Miscellaneous: This Agreement, which you accept upon registration for the Services, the Privacy Statement located on the Site, and any applicable payment, renewal, additional Services terms, comprise the entire agreement between you and happy2meet regarding the use of this Service, superseding any prior agreements between you and happy2meet related to your use of this Site or Services (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of this Agreement).
The FAQ’s found on the Services are for informational purposes only and are not deemed to be part of this Agreement. Unless otherwise explicitly stated, the Agreement will survive termination of your registration to the Service. The failure of happy2meet to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this Agreement does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid, the remainder of this Agreement will continue in full force and effect. The section titles in this Agreement are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect.

17. DMCA Policy: Copyright Infringement Notice

If you believe your copyrighted work has been used on this site in a way that constitutes infringement, please notify happy2meet’s copyright agent, as set forth in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA) with the following information:
1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. A description of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed.
3. The specific location of the infringing material.
4. Your contact information (name, address, phone, and email).
5. A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is unauthorized.
6. A statement under penalty of perjury that the above is accurate and you are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
